That looks a lot like a stick insect (Heteropteryx dilatata) I have mounted and framed in my living room. Awful thing, really.

Another watercolor? I only have my bedroom for a studio, so my beloved oils are out of the question. The results you get with water are inspiring, though.
It's an oil painting... and it is indeed based on one of those stick insects, but with explosives built in. JW
