Maybe in the future our cities will be so well integrated with the natural landscape that they become part of it, and no longer disrupt the biosphere.

Is this near Kuranda, Jim? I recall a very similar looking spot while on a trail outside Cairns.-varkias
I suppose any land not currently occupied by masses of human beings is the city of the future, though I favor some molelike underground cities rather than destroying the little forest and jungle we have left.
