Great! I hope to see more coverage of the project as it moves along.

Will you be casting a giant ink bottle?

  2. I saw Protonib warming up for Hawkwind back in '84. Helluva show.

  3. Most impressive. Even if no great art flows from this, you will develop the intimidating upper-body parts of Conan the Calligrapher.

  4. Maybe you can build a pantograph to operate it in synch with a normal-sized pen.

  5. Are you doing anything to prepare yourself physically for wielding this mighty pen? Looking formidable. Sure can't wait to see what comes out.

  6. We don’t understand. A regular sized quill pen operates using the surface tension of the fluid to keep from dripping. With a pen this size how is the ink not going to just spill everywhere?

  7. The plates. A series of nesting plates spaced just far enough apart to hold the ink with sufficient tenacity that it will stay there until drawn out. You can see the prototype work here:

  9. I regret to state that I have not read The Moth or the Flame. I'll keep an eye out for it. Strange coincidence, that.
