About Me
- Name: Jim Woodring
- Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
I was born in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California and enjoyed an exciting childhood full of poetry and paroniria among the snakes, rats and tarantulas of that enchanted realm. I eventually grew into an inquisitive bearlike man who has had three exciting careers; garbage collector, merry-go-round-operator and cartoonist. Some of my work is collected in THE BOOK OF JIM, THE FRANK BOOK and SEEING THINGS (all published by Fantagraphics) and in various toys, fabrics, prints and urban legends. Thank you for your interest.

What brand of speakers are those?
Very nice. I can see an event taking place where Frank wakes up as the structure he's on begins to rumble and it turns out he's on a weird hat of some giant beast in the pond that the frogs were singing awake.
When the toads hop around, ineffectual as they are, they manage to keep on. Crickets drown themselves with abandon and give themselves over to sinking to the bottom; but the toads, they never surrender.
Spectacular! That's one of your best Frank drawings.
Was it Johnny Cash who sang: "I fell into a crooning ring of frogs..." ?
This is the "Better Place" as in, "He's gone to a better place."
Or....maybe not.
that looks very serene
The imposing stand-up stringed instruments of sorts caught my eye immediately!!! *Great* dwg, Jim.
