About Me
- Name: Jim Woodring
- Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
I was born in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California and enjoyed an exciting childhood full of poetry and paroniria among the snakes, rats and tarantulas of that enchanted realm. I eventually grew into an inquisitive bearlike man who has had three exciting careers; garbage collector, merry-go-round-operator and cartoonist. Some of my work is collected in THE BOOK OF JIM, THE FRANK BOOK and SEEING THINGS (all published by Fantagraphics) and in various toys, fabrics, prints and urban legends. Thank you for your interest.

It would be interesting if you came up with a large number of other creatures that would fit onto the 2 in this picture that connect like puzzle pieces. I can imagine some very strange pattern that would form once they were all attached.
Grrrr!
No, not "Grrrr!" . . .
"Lllllllll!"
I think FRANK jigsawpuzzles, geomorphic or otherwise, would be cool.
I really like this one! So does Mr. Chappers!
Yeah. Looks like Pupshaw and Frank are up some of their old tricks again. Hopefully the outcome of this one won't be as disaterous as that time with Manhog and that floating top.
:^(
This reminds me of my family's favorite t-shirt ever. The image: a pickle on a string on a stick held by Frank on Manhog's back. The pickle is leading Manhog forward. This shirt contributed to joyous sounds of a happy household echoing through the halls: "Mo-om, Where's my Frank & Manhog t-shirt? Is Dad wearing it again?" My reply, "No he's not honey, I am."
this reminds me of when i'm at the pier and i ask all the fisherman, "whatcher catchin'?"
man, they probably get pretty annoyed.
