SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE

What crime is being committed here? What city is being abandoned for another? What tenet of the practice of yama is being violated by the acceptance of this act? What is meant by the sinister phrase "heavy Hors d'Oeuvres"? What fine guests will decline? Huh?

Answers will be forthcoming, I assure you. All will be made plain. But you won't like it!

IF THINE EYE BE WHOLE ETC.

On this Thanksgiving Day, O Supreme Altruist, I offer in humble gratitude my appreciation for the dawning realization; for the solid framework of illusion; for a ringside seat at the last of the best; for the treachery of art and the impermanence of enmity; for education and opportunity; for last-minute shopping in stores bulging with fresh food; for blunt instruments bought by mail and never used; for friendships terminated to mutual advantage; for holy men and women who see God in every human being and never turn their backs; for exciting, wretched creeps who enlighten us with their catastrophes; and for distant hills seen in the early morning, filling us with false hope. "Take your time," they seem to say, " we'll wait."

FOCUS STUDY

This is a glass print. The image was drawn on thick frosted glass with a 8H pencil. I found it horribly difficult. Brad Keech of Pressure Printing made an intaglio plate directly from the drawing and produced this print. It was done specifically for a project of Mr. Keech's, a portfolio of new prints by a stellar array of contemporary artists.

The prints were revealed this month at Copro Nason in Santa Monica. and will be on display there til december 2. Alex Gross is in one room and Pressure Printing is in the other room.
There are 10 different prints by 10 different artist. Dave Cooper, Glenn Barr, Coop, Scott Musgrove, KRK Ryden, Tim Biskup, Alex Gross, Mark Mothersbaugh, Attaboy and myself are the 10 artists. The edition is 50. 10 of the 50 will be offered as portfolio sets and the rest will be sold individually. I don’t know all the prices, but mine will be $75 and the rest will be about the same, give or take $25.

VALVO

At first I thought there was a muskrat or a piglet in the bed and that I was lying on it; but then I realized it was my right hand. I turned on the light and watched it scrabble and crawl as if it wanted to get away.

LOVELIGHT

Idle speculators calculate that the portion of the sun's vast surface which sends the light which hits the earth is no bigger than a pie plate. And don't get that speculator started on the known percentage of the fossil record. Miniscule!

WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?

I have missed our frequent meetings, and I want to express my belief that your tender hearts and mine are still being served. Something is going on which, for once, must be kept "under wraps". When that day of discovery dawns, I hope our reunuion will be a joyous one.
