STRANGER THAN IT IS

There was a time, and it wasn't so long ago, when readers of Seattle's good-naturedly scurrilous tabloid THE STRANGER could regularly see my work in those seething pages; first on their ultrachoice comics page and then in a prestigious slot among the music ads. I simply took whatever I was working on at the time, sized it to fit the slot, and blistered out a caption. Why this should interest you I can't say, but if it does you can see a selection of these little pools of cerebral quicksand at STRANGECO's website; specifically, at http://strangeco.com/Features/woodring.html

MUSEUM OF LOVE AND MYSTERY FOR SALE HERE AGAIN

Yes ma'am and sir, our difficulties have been transcended, and we have a crisp new crate of these little bricks of polychromatic mysterio autentico for the child within and without.

To recap: TMOL&M is a souvenir album of speculation-friendly images from Frank's holiday sojourn in the venues of the Western Unifactor. Here you can see the front cover of the book and a representative tableau of underwater congress.

The book retails for $17  but I am offering it signed on the cover in luminous ink for $25 postpaid to any address in the USA; $35 overseas. You may order it from me via PayPal; our PayPal account handle is jimwoodring (at)mindspring.com. Your book will be sent to you signed, bagged, wrapped in cardboard and shipped Priority Mail.

And to those who have already ordered; your books are finally on their way to you. Thank you for your patronage and patience.

A FLEETING FRIENDSHIP IN THE LAND OF THE NIDRIAN

This is a photograph taken in 1978 by my pal Alan Bretz during the course our eventful driving trip from California to the Yucatan. Math has never been my strong suit but I think that's 30 years ago. This picture was taken in Valladollid and was recently unearthed for- I'll whisper- a dcmntr.
