JESSICA, JESSICA, REBUILD MY CHURCH

I would give almost anything I possess if I could have the genius to create a picture like this. But who did paint it? I wish I knew! It was on a calendar a realtor gave us.

My sources suggest that this painting was a work-for-hire for a pamphlet published by the American Rubber Sheet Manufacturers Association.

I am curious to know exactly what element of this painting you find so thrilling. I like it, but I'm afraid I'd be likely to pass it by in a series of works.

Now that you've drawn attention to it, I see some interesting things, though I certainly wouldn't trade my nuggets for the ability to produce it.
