About Me
- Name: Jim Woodring
- Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
I was born in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California and enjoyed an exciting childhood full of poetry and paroniria among the snakes, rats and tarantulas of that enchanted realm. I eventually grew into an inquisitive bearlike man who has had three exciting careers; garbage collector, merry-go-round-operator and cartoonist. Some of my work is collected in THE BOOK OF JIM, THE FRANK BOOK and SEEING THINGS (all published by Fantagraphics) and in various toys, fabrics, prints and urban legends. Thank you for your interest.

Cool new character Jim, it's like Manhog stepped up the evolutionary ladder. Excellent ear-arms as well!
Look at those auspicious lobes!
Easy to sneak up on him from behind.
This won't let me embed images. So go here.

Um, ignore the above. I'll just put it on my blog, or describe it to you when I see you.

Wow! Talk about having a big head!
Dear Jim,
Poor Frank-- he DOES see the damndest things...
Best-- Deborah Newton
WOW! as a Body Piercer, that throws up some fantastic ideas, I wonder if you could stretch those lobes?
I don't know why but I'm imagining another image beside this with the big headed thing on the ground with its skull bashed open and colorful snakes with weird heads pouring out.
Frank didn't do it! He didn't do it! He's innocent!
The "hand-lobes" on your character remind me of the hand-shape earrings that Picasso gave to Frida Kahlo.
H'm come to think of it, the little head-man looks like Picasso himself. "I break you into the leetle cubes!"
