Or is it someone you know? The face is familiar but because of my  disease- συνολικό συμφέρον- I can't remember who it is. This photo was taken at the late lamented Confounded Books in Seattle a few years ago. There was a small film crew and this woman spoke to them. Now they want her to sign a release so the footage of her talking can be used in a film. If you know her (or are her) please contact me via the comments section of this "blog". Thank you.

OH, THE HUMANITY!

The San Diego International Comic-Con, the world's largest, loudest and sweatiest conglomeration of all things even remotely comics-related and the men, women and others who love 'em, has invited your Uncle Jim to be a Special Guest. This has never happened before! 

I haven't been to the "con" since 2002, I think it was. My understanding is that the event has supernova'd to intimidating dimensions. I'll be there for the whole thing, so if you yourself intend to attend please come by my table and we can have a good cry together.
